Creative Business Cards

Ever since my friend Marilyn shared her calling card with me, I’ve been dying to make my own but I’m sooo indecisive about everything! Should I go with glossy or matte cardstock? Color or simple black & white? Bleed or no bleed? Traditional landscape or portrait? Oh check out that square-shaped card! Wow, look at that sweet edge dye! But wait, what’s this? Letterpress?!?!

You get the picture. So while I’m still working on creating the (almost) perfect calling card for myself, I’m drawing inspiration from some of these awesome business cards I’ve rounded up from fellow designers:

Whale, Hello There!

I got to work this morning and the first thing I saw was a little business card peeking out from underneath a sticky note that says “effective Oct. 1″ on my desk. It’s from my coworker Marilyn. She’s retiring at the end of this week and moving to California’s spectacular Mendocino coastline next month. In order for us to keep in touch, she gave me her personal card with her new contact information. Isn’t it cute?!

I’m a sucker for adorable things like this! Now I want to make a personal card for myself! I found some generously free “calling cards” by Jessica from How About Orange. Just download the template, add your contact information, and print! Keep some in your bag and pull them out at the perfect moment.
