It’s more challenging than you think. I was only able to guess 37 out of 50 movies and half of the time, I was able to name the actors in the movie rather than coming up with the movie title itself. If you think you know more movies than me, give this quiz a try! Good luck!

The great classics never get out-dated.

The Witches (1990)
I remember watching this movie when I was 8 years old and it scared the crap out of me! It was exciting, imaginative, and dark. As a kid, it made me wonder if there really were witches around the world because every now and then, I would look at people’s eyes to see if they glowed purple! Oh the memories.. I loved it then and I still love it now.

Hocus Pocus (1993)
Hocus Pocus is a classic and every Halloween I get in the mood to watch it again and again. The Sanderson sisters are the funniest trio! There are so many lines I can recite from this movie and the songs — I Put A Spell On You, Come Little Children — are so unforgetable! Plus, I’ve always wanted my very own Thackery Binks.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
What’s this? The Pumpkin King of Halloween, and his attempt to run Christmas by any means! Yes, Tim Burton’s classic is a mandatory watch every Halloween, and plus, it brings Christmas early every year!

The Halloween Tree (1994)
This animated made-for-television Halloween special has captivated me since the first time I saw it when I was merely 11 years old. I can still hear the clicking of the sweet skulls and the tapping steps they took to build the cathedral as the kids follow Pip in the journey across time and space to learn the true meaning of the spirit of All Hallows Eve. Watch it. Be skeptical. Be critical of it. This movie encapsulates the experience of Halloween!

Casper (1995)
Can I keep you?

Honorable mentions: It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966), Ghostbusters (1984), Gremlins (1984), The Addam’s Family (1993), Edward Scissorhands (1990).
